'Sly Old Fox'

The scene is of a fox hunt. The dogs are confused and have lost the scent of the fox. They do not realise the crafty fox has scurried up through the hollow of a dead tree and cheekily looks down at them.
'Cenarth Falls'

Cenarth is a wonderfully picturesque village in Wales that I visited and I just had to paint it.
Cenarth Falls are a cascade of delightful waterfalls and pools. Set astride the river Teifi, this beautiful, idyllic village is famous for it's annual salmon leap.
'Making Friends'

Two children are in the countryside. Sat against a backdrop of waterways, the boy fondly makes the girl a daisy chain, sealing their friendship.
'Going For a Stroll'

A farmer takes his horse and foal for a walk in the countryside.
'Who's For Lunch?'

Wren chicks with beaks gaping wide from hunger are crying for food. Their dutiful parents sit nearby. One has a delicious moth to satisfy their cravings.
But all is not as nice and idyllic as it seems. The chicks are not the only birds hungry. A magpie has spotted them and eagerly eyes the babies.
'Hunters'

This is a twist on the circle of life theme.
A farmer is about to shoot an eagle, just as it readies itself to prey on a cat. The cat hungrily looks at a Robin which is eating a worm that has just crept out from a grave.
